I am a senior double-majoring in English and Environmental Studies at the University of Virginia.
Experience
I have two years of paid tutoring experience in the university's writing center. There, I've worked with undergraduate, graduate, and English-as-a-second-language students. I have taken courses on pedagogical methods and have a true love for teaching and working with students. At UVA, my major GPA is 3.96 and my overall GPA is 3.8. I have published two scholarly articles, one in the MIT Press and one at UVA. I also serve as an editor for the Virginia Review of Politics, and the Oculus - UVA's undergraduate research journal. This summer, I have received grant funding to conduct research in the Princeton area. My research focuses on developing methods of computational text analysis to track political rhetoric in 19th century texts.
